Just wondering if the plankton in Kent Marine's bottle is alive or dead.
Seems if they are dead then the contents would stink. OTOH, if they are
living, where are the nutrients and O2 coming from. So there are two other
possibilities. 1) they are in suspended animation, 2) they are preserved
someway. Does anybody know? Has anyone tried raising these?

Thanks
Dustin

Dustin, think for a moment...
Are these cucumbers in the jar of pickled cucumbers alive or dead ?

They are dead for sure.
I do not like KENT liquid foods because I can only imagine how strongly
they have to be preserved to have long shelf life in a room temp...
You can buy frozen food with probably less preservatives in there.
Like frozen cyclopeeze.
