Default 1987 Nissan Sentra brake lights stay on

My brake lights seem to stay on. I do not know why, but the car has
been this for a month know. The car seems to brake fine though.

Have you obeyed Acts 2:38 as Paul taught in Acts 19:4-6?

Pastor Winter,

PTL! Your problem is a simple one to remedy. There is a brake light
switch located on a bracket at the top of the brake pedal. If you do it
yourself the hardest problem would be to try to get into a position lying
on your back on the driver side floor so you can see the switch. Use a
butter knife and try to depress the button on the switch. Have a partner
tell you if the light goes out. If it does, (and it probably will) the
switch is okay so don't go buying another one even if it is only a few
bucks. There is a hole in the brake pedal that usually has a plastic
backing that probably cracked. If it is still there, then the switch is
defective. Use a cut piece of a soda can 1/2" x 1/2" cause it is thin
enough to fit in the space b/t the brake pedal and the switch button.
Apply something like "Goop" to one side and position it with needle nose
pliers or a long nose plier right over the hole onto the brake pedal just
b/t it and the switch button. When the brake bedal depresses the switch
button the light should go out. Hope this helps.
