Thank you for all the information. I'm planning on working on this later
this week, probably Thursday or Friday.
My plan all along was going to start by probing with a multimeter while
trying the different positions on the ignition switch. I'm just trying to
get as much info as possible before starting.
Even if I knew all the documentation by heart, I've worked in the computer
and electronics field long enough to not trust the documentation 100%. It
doesn't always match the real thing.

Tomorrow (1/2) is the day to do the install, I think with the information
you've provided, plus what I found on the web, that I'm ready.

I found out why I can't get some of the drawings on HMAService. I needed
the Adobe SVG viewer installed. I was doing some more searching and on the
TwoSpirits Santa Fe mod forums, I found some information about using the
HMAService site. It mentioned the SVG viewer. I installed it and all the
drawings come up fine now. It makes sense why the most of the older
drawings work; they probably started using SVG around 2003.

Duh.. I could also have looked on the "site requirements" on HMAService.
Right there, it says you need the SVG viewer..
