I get 28 on trips and 19 highway. If you look to the bottom of the
sticker you'll see a range of milage. Your milage may vary.

Keep in mind that the Sienna AWD has no spare tire, and is equipped with
so-called run flat tires. These tires have very stiff sidewalls and give
a harsh ride. Get the FWD and traction + stability control. I am quite
happy with my 2004 Sienna. If the vehicles seem more or less equal, than
go to the better dealer in terms of honesty and helpfulness.

Toyota now offers a kit for mounting a spare tire in AWD Siennas (the
tradeoff being reduced cargo space).

Howdy,

Do you know if the kit mounts a full-size spare? I ask
because since I bought my '04 they have had available a kit
to mount a donut version.

All the best,

I didn't share my opinion with the original poster to get a lecture on
my driving. The stinking rotors warped, a manufacturing defect, which
caused the pads to wear. Both should have been covered, but the warranty excludes pads.

That ****s for a minivan.

And you're a ****in' asshole.

The onboard computer is accurate, and that's what it gets. It's not
4wd.

The most accurate way to check milage is the old way with a paper and
pen. The milage computers don't give you the true milage, they seem to
falter for what ever reason. Fun to watch though. I get 28 on a trip
and 19 in town, not bad for a 4400 Lb empty vehicle. Rotors don't warp
themselves. Did you test drive the vehicle before you bought it? Were
the brakes fine when you drove it off the lot? Again brake disks don't
just warp away like wet plywood.

I don't know, but I think "Lena" is just trolling. She complains about the
mileage in her Sienna, but has no problem with mileage of this Chevy truck
which actually has worse mileage. Moreover, I think she'd be lucky to get
lower repair costs on a Chevy truck than on a Sienna, considering that GM
trucks are crap these days.

She reminds me of that guy "Art" who complains about petty issues in his
Avalon, but shrugs off a mechanical failure in his Crapsler as nothing.

Perhaps they are used to selling sports cars SUVs or some other kind of
vehicle who's price is affected more by the status factor.

The Honda salesdroid we dealt with acted as if deciding on any vehicle
other than a Honda was just beyond comprehension. When he asked what other
vehicles we were considering, we mentioned the Sienna. He spent the next
few minutes trashing the Sienna. Sure this is unprofessional but more
importantly, it indicates that the product he's selling doesn't measure up
if he has to spend the brief time he has our ear talking about the
competition.

When the same question came up at the Toyota dealer, the response was much
different. "Cant go wrong with either the Sienna or the Odyssey, both are
great vehicles. Did you see the <fill in the feature here> on the Odyssey,
it's a little different on the Sienna, let me show you."

That's how you sell a vehicle. Give me information, let me make up my own
mind.

According to the FAQ section on Toyota's web site, the spare mounting kit is
for a temporary (read donut) spare and you lose the ability to fold down one
of the rear seats.
