Default Carrying a stormdoor inside a Prius

The undulating "floor" of the created space compromises the space's
utility. One would be hard-pressed to stretch out there comfortably in
a sleeping bag, for example.

==================================

The Matrix forms a perfectly flat, hard plastic floor about 64 inches
long with the back seat folded down, and with the front seat folded
down (flat) it will easily carry many 8-foot 2x4s with the back door
closed. Not sure about the storm door, and I don't think (at over 6
feet tall) that I would care to sleep back there, but it's a very nice
space for cargo. A simple rubber mat keeps things from rattling around.

You're damned right it is!...now I need someone who can tell me
how to convince my wife to let me carry my 2X4's that way...

Alas, it is not to be. The seatbacks-down configuration does open a
space long enough and high enough, but the resulting gap between the
driver's seatback and the rightside B pillar is too narrow for the
boxed stormdoor. Also I found no dependable anchor for securing the
package at the leading end.

The undulating "floor" of the created space compromises the space's
utility. One would be hard-pressed to stretch out there comfortably in
a sleeping bag, for example.

Na'theless, there likely are cargos for which the space would be
appropriate, and any possibility is better than none.
