If you think that freq was congested you have not been many places, son!

At that point in time, at that particularly demanding phase of flight, he
couldn't get a word in 'till the last second.

First, welcome back. Still working on your
Europa? How's it coming?

Really, it wasn't that bad. I had already made a
'normal' call turning base-to-final. I made a
short final call because I thought I heard someone
else call final for the same field. Freq. congestion
wasn't an issue - believe me, it gets a lot worse out there.

Yeah, I know, and I still shudder when I think about
some of your stories. <g>
