You might want to try Air Excel at Boulder City (800-281-4538).
They have a number of clean, recent model 172's. Don't forget to pick up a grand canyon 'sectional' (current is 2001 I think), if you are heading over the canyon. Have fun. -- Dr. Tony Cox Citrus Controls Inc. e-mail: tc@coxrt.com http://CitrusControls.com/ |

All good stuff (Marble Canyon & Death Valley if
weather is iffy). I'd just add (having been up today) that Winter is here and it's bloody cold. Do file a flight plan & go prepared. The last 70 miles will be on the plateau, which is 5000' and up. If you have to put down, you could end up walking 30 miles just to get to a road. If leaving from Boulder City, you can't reach FS on the published frequency too easily heading east, so open the flight plan on the ground. Peach Springs VOR has an RCO which you can provide a position report on - it's the only RCO between the Vegas Valley and GCN, almost exactly 1/2 way. -- Dr. Tony Cox Citrus Controls Inc. e-mail: tc@coxrt.com http://CitrusControls.com/ |
