Well, technically you can - but you have to push it!
Don't say that in your exam - it was a joke. (Sorry - couldn't resist ![]() Actually - it all comes down to whether you have to speak to ground or not - which is not the best arrangement in the world - because it all comes back to you knowing whether or not, in your particular spot, you have to speak to ground. And of course if you knew that you wouldn't be asking the question. That is scary when ambiguity creeps in - that's how runway incursions happen.
