These and the left over unexploded ordinances are still claiming
casualties in Laos. This is the cost of war. Just thought I'd share
with this forum because I frequent here.

There are still people killed or wounded from weapons of WWI in eastern
France... after roughly 80 years. So in Laos, that's not astonishing...

The cost of war
So, it would seem that it would be wise not to have a war on your own soil,
and to pay a high cost to avoid it.

For what, slaughtering Iraqi babies for Halliburton? Yeah, I feel a lot
safer now.

GW hid behind his mamma's skirt and his daddy's clout while Kerry had the
guts to put his life on the line then had the guts to challenge American
butchery in Vietnam. Now big brave Dubya sends out his hired professional
character assassins to slander Kerry who agree or disagree with him, had the
guts to stand up for what he believed. Dubya would shit his pants if he ever
had to do his own fighting. The only conviction Dubya has is:
"what's good for Halliburton is good for Cheney and that's good enough for
me".

The cost of war
There are some serious questions that need to be answered about Halliburton
and that $2.2B "no-bid" contract.
Did the administration strongarm the DoD (Army Corps of Engineers) into
giving it to them?
Were there any kickbacks from that $2.2B?
Who got them?
Specifically, did any of that money find its way into the Bush oil coffers?
Are there any connections between the Halliburton boardroom and the Oval
Office?
It would seem so.
Wait...*which* administration?
oops
Wrong administration
wrong war

Before this goes any further, would it be too much trouble to limit replies
to the newsgroup which you are reading? Crossposting is such a pain in the
a$$. You never know who to bleep.
Thanks for the consideration and sorry for *this* crosspost.

Initiating a five group off-topic post is more than "sharing", it's
grandstanding. Just because you "frequent" a newsgroup doesn't make it
OK for you to post off topic crap. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you have a
"right" to post whatever you wish wherever you wish. Thankfully, MOST
people have a better sense of decorum.
