Various TV news sources & AP are reporting LAX has been closed after 2
"Security Breaches" followed by explosions @ the LAX International Terminal.

All ground traffic into/out of the airport has been stopped. Out bound Air
traffic stopped. Some inbound air traffic diverted. Other inbound traffic
allowed to land with A/C being parked in outlying areas.

These events occurred ~ 10 am local time

It's 9:45 there now, and CNN is reporting that the "events" happened two
hours ago. Which would put them at around 7:30 am PDT. The "events" are
being described as the explosion of a flashlight due to "corroded
batteries", and the observation of a "suspicious person." I'm just making
these observations for the record.

This sounds a lot like a non-story. CNN is currently giving it about 30
seconds of time before going back to shots of people in Florida having their
hairdos fluffed around by an approaching hurricane.

MSNBC is reporting that "airport employees" are saying that a flashlight
inside a bag, being screened at a checkpoint, "went off" due to some
"battery" event.

FAUX reports an "incident at a checkpoint" which resulted in a "positive
hit" on some baggage id issue, whatever that means. "No indication that
this is any kind of terrorist act" according to the former NTSB employee
that FAUX managed to get on the telephone.

FAUX: Major airports in FL are shut down, and now LAX is offline. A major
disruption of airline schedules is anticipated.
