How about a NIB GMS .40 for L35.00? Just as much power as most .46 engines.

I would suggest Paul is using a £ sign, but either his ISP or newsreader
changes it. we used to have this issue on our email at work when using x.400 (the days before smtp became defacto). HTH D |

OK, that makes sense, I noticed that my ? (euro) comes out as a ? (question

Possible, but I doubt it. Both Paul and you are using Outlook Express and
you produced the £ sign, so I don't think it's that. I very much doubt Paul's ISP - btinternet - is changing it either. L is a "traditional" symbol for the UK pound - ever heard of "Lsd" - pounds, shillings and pence? (Probably Latin.) So I guess Paul actually typed L. There is an international standard, ISO 4217, for currency abbreviations. Yes, I do remember Lsd, and still mourn their loss. One big step towards European domination of our lives. I think it is the abiltiy to think in different numerical units, such as 12 pence to the shilling, 20 shillings to the pound, 12 inches to the foot, etc. that sets us apart. I've been trying to teach my wife imperial units, it drives her mad! Then again, it might save me from coming home to find instructions to put 4½ deliclitres of rice in 12 decilitres of water and get it boiling for her1 However, I don't recall seeing L used as an abbrev. for £ before; so I was curious!
