Anyone flying this model with an OS-300 twin? I guess it would be a good
combination?

With that type of power what type of servos are you proposing to use and
have you made any radical changes to the structural strength. ie tail
struts. I've a Tigre 20 cc and am only going to use coreless with
metal gears. I've a Xtra Wot with a 25cc using only ball raced but have
strengthened the tail with carbon rod struts, with a servo on each elevator.
But the Yak uses a combined joiner on the elevator, and the ailerons seem to
have a larger surface area.

Im sure it will go very well but also be extremely heavy............I'm
powering mine with a Moki 210........ I think I would be inclined to contact
Flair and ask their advice on strengthening etc, you cant afford mistakes on
a model this size.

Hi fellows,

I'm using HITEC 605 non-metal gear servos in a lot of high-stress airplanes.
Never had a servo wearing down. Even on a towing-tug with a zg62 servicing 2
years very intensely.
The structure of the FLAIR Yak seems very well thought out. As it is in the
first place a scale-model, I wouldn't push the flight enveloppe too far. But
the short nose calls for a rather heavy engine. And the sound of the
OS300...
Just finishing the second half of the wing. Still some 2 months to go ;-))
