Help with 35Mhz crystal and 36Mhz Transmitter
I have recently purchased a Dragonfly without transmitter. The Dragonfly
does use PCM...
The guy supplied me with a 35.180MHz TX crystal to match the one on the (all
singing and dancing) receiver/controller board.
I have a Futaba PCM 1024 7UAPS running on 36.530 MHz
I tried using the 35MHz crystal in my TX module however no luck...
Just in case anyone is reading this and may help...
I tried using the original Dragonfly controller which I borrowed.
Unfortunately I could only
get hold of a 72Mhz version, in which I plugged in the supplied 35.180TX
crystal. The
tail rotor started spinning but the servos did not seem to work properly. As
I moved the sticks around the main rotor began spinning although everything
was out of control o I unplugged it.
Then, I tried my 36MHz RX crystal in the dragonfly receiver board with my
36MHz transmitter but that did not work
Then I re-soldered the 35.180 receiver crystal on the dragonfly and tried a
Futaba 35.180 TX crystal in my transmitter but that did not work either.
In all cases when I used my controller I switched between PPM and PCM just
in case.
I am running out of options.
I may need to get hold of a 35MHz Module to fit in my Futaba FF7 PCM
transmitter. If anyone can recommend a distributer that is willing to
freight to Australia please post !!!
