Default Pinion Gear

Hi to you all, I recently bought a Cosmotec gearbox, 4.5:1, for fitment to a
Graupner 400 motor. When I opened the packet, I discovered that the small
pinion gear was missing, (or i had lost it), whatever. It aint there anyway
! My problem now is, where do i get one from ? West London models seem to
think that Cosmotec have gone to ground, as they are having difficulty in
getting stuff from Cosmotec. Anyone got any ideas ? The gearbox is useless
without the pinion of course, & i dont want to buy another for the sake of a
small part. Any help would be appreciated. Oh yes, I've e-mailed all the
suppliers that list these g/boxes, & am still waiting on replies from them,
It's the weekend. Thanks for any help. Cheers. Ray.

First of all find out the diameter and pitch, and tooth numbers it ought
to have been.

Secondly post again that detail in the power forum on http://www.ezonemag.com

Thirdly have a look at http://www.aircraft-world.com where lots of gearbox bits
are for sale.

In general there are only a few pitches used in gearboxes (tooth per
inch etc) and many times another pinion can be sourced elsewhere.

You will need a 2.3mm shaft hole ID, for a 400.
