While RealFLight G3 is now an excellent program (since updates), don't waste
your money without making very sure that it will run on your laptop. Many
are having problems running it on laptops without the proper video cards.
For instance the relatively new laptop I am typing this on will not run G3
because the video card is inadequate. Prior to buying it, go to the website,
read the FAQ and send them an e-mail asking if your video card will handle
the program.

G2 can still be purchased used for under $100, and I understand that it will
run on lesser video cards.

G2 still has some video hardware issues. I forgot what it was
exactly, but I think it was some DirectX feature that HAD to be
supported by the card. I had to swap out an old GeForce Fx 5200 card
for something a bit more powerful to make mine work.
