I need to solder in a replacement antenna wire on my Futaba R136F 35MHz
receiver ( the aerial got ripped in half in a crash yesterday and I didnt
find the other half)
Can anyone tell me the exact length of a 35MHz receiver antenna wire?

Hi Jim.. if it’s ripped in half just double the length you have left
sorry.. couldn’t resist that

ho ho ho. there’s always one…. 😉
to answer my own question, I found a site that said the wire should be 1
metre end to end (giving about 985mm outside the rx box).
Wire duly cut, soldered and tested out at the field today. Seems sound!

Just a polite word of warning….
Antenna lengths vary from manufacturer to manufacturer,
Check that the “site” you referred to is talking about Futaba and not

While displaying a rare burst of sanity one day I wrote it down, in
anticipation of needing to know it sometime.
1 meter is the length you need.

1 meter plus minu in my case about 6 inches. Makes b***** all
difference. Purists may go for the one meter exactly.
