....just replaced the factory egr gasket with the new gasket with the
screen built into it. Now, after I run the truck just about 6 1/2
miles the "service engine soon" light comes on. Pull over turn it off
and restart...light out. Drive the same amount of miles..SES light
back on. Since I cleaned the EGR Valve ( very carboned up) It runs
great even when the SES light comes on. Could this be a code that is
in the Computer from the EGR being hung open by carbon before ? Is it
possible for me to get the code out by myself ? Also, is it possible
that I put the Gasket in upside down. I would almost bet money that I
have it in right.....BUT there is murphy's law. I have it in with the
screen over the hole BELOW the valve. Any reply would be appreciated.
