Lifter noise 2001 impala

Do all the 2001 chevy impala lifters make noise when they first start up. or is there something awrong with mine. 58000.00 miles on it.. doesn't last long just a min. or so.

What engine do you have?

If it's a 3.4, it could be piston slap (although the PS problem afflicts
the 3.1 more than the 3.4).
