Repair a raised dent on 68 Camaro

Hi, I stupidly let the air cleaner stud get too high and it put a 1/8"
high dent in my camaro's hood. Can anyone recommend the best way to
flatten this so I don't have to use much body filler? I'm a little
scared of just using a hammer to flatten it.
