truck runs for a couple of seconds then dies

1997 chevrolet 1500 pickup 2WD V6; truck starts and runs for a couple of
seconds then dies; can keep running if i turn the key to off position then
back to on position when truck begins to die; fuel pressure is adequate and
maintains like supposed to; have already installed new oil pressure switch
and problem still exists. any ideas?
