Default engine problem

my grandfather built a 350 small block for me with 10:1 compression. he put
a holley double pumper, with a flowed intake. everyhting has been flowed
and works great together. he didn't replace the distributor, and when i
started driving it the car started bucking and kicking and starts knocking
like it was only running on two cylinders. so i replaced the distributor
with another hei, and everything in it is brand new. i've put in new spark
plugs, and wires, and a new fuel pump cause i thought it was starving for
fuel. i checked the plugs they show no signs of running lean or even
running rich. when i started it this morning it was running fine but as
soon as i put it into gear and sped up to about 2500 rpm it started
bucking and spitting and stuff, and i let off of the throttle and it
completely died. i let it sit there for a couple of minutes and the car
started right up, but once i sped up it started doing the same thing
again. if you know anything else i might try let me know.
