Default 63 Roadster gas tank remove?

I'm considering removing and cleaning the tank on my 63 myself (as it has
been sitting in my garage and not started for nearly 20 years) before
beginning the work of returning it to the road. I am curious as to what the
degree of difficulty is for this task. Any knowledge to share is
appreciated- L

You have to remove the spare tire carrier, loosen the tank straps, and then
remove the tank support brace. Be sure you have drained the gas out first,
as a tank is gas is heavy and spilling out everywhere is dangerous.

Connections on the tank are on bottom.

Additionally, chances are you will also need to remove the exhaust pipes
if your car is not equipped with a side pipe system. The shop manual
advises that the pipes be disconnected at the front hanger (the single
hanger that holds both pipes) and at the rear exhaust pipe hangers, and
the pipes be lowered at the rear and slid rearward to gain clearance.
