Alt. Smokers? (cigars) - Mombu the Cigars, Habanos and Pipes Forum

Having checked out this site as a newbie when it comes to cigars.....I
am very disappointed with the site. It seems that it is mostly for
those people with issues to post their positions on everything from ****
to politics. It is to bad a newsgroup for cigar smokers does not exist
that is moderated and can give the boot to these idiots.

Alt.smokers is primarily for cigarettes. Although it gets it's share of
idiots (as do we).

Alt.Smokers.Cigars (where you just posted this) if for cigar smokers.
Although we are not regulated (thank goodness) we have kept the idiots at
bay for a long time.

If you want a moderated cigar group then feel free to visit Cigar
Aficionado's website and discussion group. You will see that moderated
groups have more idiots than not.

I spend quite a bit of time at the Cigar Weekly and Cigar Family BB's,
and have found both very informative and full of some terrific folks.
As anywhere, there will always be idiots though. Kinda like the local
smoke shop, or the cafe up the street, or even the pool hall I hang
out in

It's not a "site", it's a newsgroup.

And if you want a taste of what a moderated group is like, try Cigar
Afficianodos group. You'll never find a more pretentious, uptight, priggish
group of dilettantes and poseurs .

Cigars and pipes are not in the same league with cigarettes.
ASC and ASP are nearly troll free. AS is infested.
