Default Canada Trip...WOW!!! (cigars cohiba)

Well Well Well...

other than buying a bunch of cubans, a bunch of really good canadian
whisky, and maple sap in every variety...

i won 300 US dollars in 15 mins on the slots. i figured since i was that
far up that quick, i'd get the hell out of there, grab a nice big cohiba,
and head to a bar and enjoy one of the better cigars i've tried. lived up
to everything i thought about a good cuban.

i ended up visiting plenty of little cigar shops throughout niagara falls
and niagara on the lake, and ended up bringing home about 10 or so, and
smoking about 10 or so there.

they were mostly expensive, but i was on vacation, so i splurged of course.

if anyone i've offended in here before comes forth i'd love to send you a
couple.

living the life...

I don't think 10 cigars is going to cover it

Thanks for the review/update, though...

Default Canada Trip...WOW!!! (petit bolivar petit corona fonseca robusto)

I have 4 of the wrapped fonseca petit corona's, 3 cohiba robusto seconds, 2
montecristo churchill seconds. i dont know the exact name of the seconds,
just that they look about like a robusto and a churchill. and i have 1
bolivar, i'm not sure what kind it is, a little smaller than a robusto though.

no...THANK YOU for an honest reply

Default Cuban Seconds? (was Re: Canada Trip...WOW!!!) (cigar cigars)

2

Never heard of Cuban "seconds." When I toured the R&J Factory in Cuba they
made it clear that no "seconds" are produced at any of the Cuban cigar
factories - The ones that don't pass muster are milled up and made into
cigarettes and cigarillos for the local market.

So I'm not sure what those are, but IMHO they aren't Cuban cigars.

Probably the Cosacos (5 3/8x42)

Never heard of such a thing. Who told you they were seconds?
Did they have bands?

I remember it used to be said that Canada got something called RCs
which were "supposedly" seconds.

Default Canada Trip...WOW!!! (cohiba montecristo humidor)

huh, i'm not real sure...they didn't have bands, and they were right
between the cohiba's and montecristo's. i guess that doesn't exactly mean
they're either one, but i thought the guy mentioned one or the other.
anyway, i've smoked 2 so far, and each was very very good. a good kick in
the arse smoke. i'm gonna let the rest settle in the humidor for a week
or so, and i'll post some reviews then.

til then, good smoking

Default Canada Trip...WOW!!! (cigar cigars)

I just googled a bunch of old threads, and these are most likely
the "seconds" of various brands that were (are again?) marketed in
Canada.

According to the posts they have also been marketed as Commodoro,
Jose Piedra handmades, and unbanded as a bargain bin cigar even at La
Casa del Habanos. Many seemed to agree that they are tasty smokes and
a good bang for the buck.

If you're interested in those posts, go to the advanced group search
http://groups.google.com/advanced_group_search
and plug in "RC seconds Canada" (without the quotes) and
alt.smokers.cigars as the newsgroup.

Default Canada Trip...WOW!!! (tobacco forums cuban)

This was years ago. AFAIK, it caused some serious ruffles between Habanos
SA and the director of either Havana House or LCDH. There are no more
smokes like this available. Dumbass probably bought some roller smokes or
"clear havanas." There is an outfit in Toronto that imports and rolls cuban
tobacco, but the name escapes me.
