davidoff cigars (davidoff cigars tobacco cigar zino)
I was lucky enough to meet mr Raymond m schurer (senior vice president and
member of the executive board) for Davidoff at a recent cigar appreciation
night here in Melbourne, and I broke protocol and asked him a difficult
question,
Q Why did Davidoff in 1988 call an end to cigar production in Cuba, was is
because zino and Fidel had a fall out,
A firstly (he said) no one from Davidoff has ever met Fidel Castro we only
dealt with the tobacco heads of Cuba, but the main reason was we had no
control over the quality of the product with our name on it, we could not
achieve a constant quality of our cigars, that was the main reason we pulled
out of Cuba
I found this very interesting maybe some of you will also,
but this totally dispels the
big argument theory, and price issues, it was all about poor quality or
quality control matters
