Found these bundled cigars advertised as LGC seconds. LGC's are my "go to
cigar" and was wondering if anyone has had experience with them. Is the
construction and blend similar? TIA

A quick Google search on this will probably turn up thousands of
answers to your question. They are not seconds, per se, but they are
made in the same factory. I think constructiion is always pretty good.
The flavor is similar. el Creditos used to be a great deal.

Had one a few weeks ago, and wasn't too impressed, not that I consider
myself a very knowledgeable person when it comes to cigars. The scent
before it is lit is to me somewhat unpleasant (literally a bit "crapy"),
even though it disappears once it is lit. It is a medium body, medium to
medium/strong strength cigar, although at the beginning and in the end it is
a little stronger than in the middle of the smoke. Flavor was to me
somewhat empty, it lacks that creamy sensation, it in turn gave place to a
more "cutting" feeling that hits your palate when you draw. It draws
easily, not too easy, the smoke is thick with a pleasant aroma.

Overall, I would say it is not nearly my favourite, but it was a fair smoke,
not at all something to remember, even though I would have another in case I
was offered with and didn't have something else to smoke.

I agree with Galenius. It was referred to me as an inexpensive cigar, a good
"Lawn cutting" cigar. As in it is good during that activity.

LGC's are pretty much my "go-to" as well, and I've found El Creditos to be a
complete disappointment.

They tend to be similar IMHO, but not as good as the original LGC. But
El Credito cigars are seconds of LGC only in USA; in Europe El Credito
is actually the original LGC cigar renamed because of some copyright
issue.
If you buy La Gloria Cubana in Europe you will get the cuban which is,
indeed, very good. If you want the dominican version, look for El
Credito.

I haven't smoked them lately-- used to buy them direct from El Credito in
Miami. They were a great cigar, at least the long-filler ones. My favorite
was the Small Churchill, a size equivalent of the Corona Gorda LGC.
Excellent, especially the maduros. Required age, as did the LGCs. One of
the best values I ever found in cigars. I'm told the mixed and short filler
ones are crap. The El Creditos I used to buy were in boxes, not bundles. I
tried to get them in bundles, because you could save $5 that way, but when
they sent them, they were in boxes and I got charged the $5. Oh well. I
haven't bought them since Ernesto was bought out.
