LONDONERS - Dunhill of Jermyn Street has re-opened!
No worries Alex,
I knew it was short notice, but I thought I'd post something on the
off-chance. Since I have the day off, I've arranged to meet up with a friend
for Dim Sum instead!
The refit looks good. The guy who redesigned it was around the other day.
There is a barber shop where the pipe section used to be and the stairs have
been moved to the side of the store. The humidor itself was untouched with
the exception of a new carpet. The main sales area has lots of model planes
and stuff hanging from the ceiling. According to the manageress, Alison,
they are going to have a second phase of refurbishment where they are going
to expand upwards by one floor.
They also have also fitted the 'bespoke room' with a fancy lighting system
that replicates the light from any country at any time so you can see what
your outfit would look like at a specific setting. (e.g. Tokyo at 20h00, New
York at 06h00). Very interesting...
