Hi Folks,
I am pretty new at rating smokes and am just getting into figuring out the tastes and different nuances in each type. I tried a Macanudo Maduro Ascot. I liked it very much and went looking for info on it and couldn't find much. How would people describe a smoke like this for example in terms of strength and taste and overall satisfaction with the smoke. I am mentioning this as an example because I have had easier acces to these smokes. I have been lurking and learning here and reading things here like "chocolate on the palate" or "spicy, nutty aftertaste" or "leathery overtones" and am not sure if I understand how to apply that to the smoke. I also have had the chance to try some of the cubans like the Cohiba Robusto and the cuban Romeo and Julietta as well as the Guantanamera and the Jose Piedra (the Piedra's I just thought were pretty awful except for the petit brava I think it was). I am in Canada where we can get cuban smokes but where the prices are so high you can't even consider them. Plus, I have noticed that we don't seem to get the same variety of smokes that you folks get in the US. I am envious. Anyway thanks for a great group and for any feedback you have on this Macanudo Maduro Ascot. regards Joanne www.madhousewives.com |
