Yes, it's time again for the clash of the titans in this
game that every American football player aspires to play
when he grows up to be a real man! The Rugby World Cup
kicked off today, and this time I am prepared. I have laid
in a generous stock of wine and beer, I have a new
answerphone, there is plenty to eat and I have a stash of
cigars perfect in size to last me through the game (Ashton
VSG Illusion and Partagas 898, if you must know).

The only thing that is missing is a little something on the
side to spice things up a bit. Anyone interested in a
sidebet? I have a handful of smokes says that we'll skin us
some Pumas, have Wallabies for lunch and Springboks for
dinner before sending the All Blacks back home to molest the
sheep. Any ASCers out there who are delusional enough to
doubt that this time it's England's turn to lift the Cup and
be acknowledged in their rightful place as the best rugby
nation in the world?
