Review: Fuente Cuban Corona (Thanks Mickey!)
Thanks to Mickey for making this review possible!
Arturo Fuente Cuban Corona
5 1/4" x 45
The cigar has a fairly fat foot (going up to about 48 ga), and a very
small cap that was puckered a bit at the edges. The wrapper was nice
looking with a little shine and some veining.
The pre-light aroma was great. It clipped well and it had a good draw.
It reminded me of the fuente 8-5-8 I've had before. Flavorful, but in a
mellow way. Flavors blended very well. I'd call it medium bodied and
flavor. Around the 1/2 way point, it got a little sweet, but that passed.
Thanks again Mickey,

Review: Fuente Cuban Corona (Thanks Mickey!) (ashtray cigar)
I'll piggyback my review of yesterday's morning smoke- Went looking for AF
Sungrowns the other day and the only singles I did find (HB) were the
double chateaus. Beauty of a stick as usual I just think the Fuente band
is one of the best looking ones out there. It even looks pretty on the nub
in my ashtray.
tasty wrapper, lots of cedar flavors, could taste a hint of twangy youth,
but overall a bit mild for me. Church's are not my favorite size and it
has to be a good cigar to keep my attention for over an hour.
Of course it gathered a bit of depth after the halfway point and was
enjoyable overall. Great burn and construction. I wondered (as I often do
when smoking AF's) should I get a whole box? Then later I smoked an NSS
and decided 'nah'. Not that there's anything wrong with them, they're
really great smokes. I used to smoke a lot of AF's until my tongue got so
ruined that I now need an extra kick from a cigar to enjoy it.
I know the DC line (and of course Opus) are stronger but I have less
experience with these, maybe I should give one of them a try.
thanks for the review Glyph!
