Partagas 150 Signature Series "A"
Construction - Looks cheap and old as expected. Wrapper - Oily Cut - punch Pre draw - Smooth! Light up: Tons of smoke with earthy taste. Body - Rich Finish - Long finish Burn - Even Ambience - Patiently waiting for UPS at my office and lying to myself that I would never smoke these. :-) The smell of these pre-lit are so sweet, almost like cherry cotton candy. One inch into this stick and I knew that the other four were history as I tasted mild cinnamon and a lots of sweet cedar. The draw was perfectly smooth throughout. Halfway through I was tasting a hint of dark Swiss chocolate with even more cinnamon and cedar. The finish was as great as the start ending with espresso and earth. I smoke it to the nub but had to go slow as it would heat up fast due to its age and dryness at the ¾ mark! After I finished I gave one to my girlfriend for her enjoyment, will mail one to my Father and plan events around the other two. With all the hype about this series and especially the price I was a little reluctant to buy them. I knew they would be gone soon and I had to try one. I'm glad I did and I will buy more of them! They ended up costing me 24.00 a stick. Without a doubt they are in the "Top Five of Best Cigar" I have ever smoked. Tim,
Thanks for a fantastic review! May I ask where you get these from? (Offline if you want, details in signature below). When I googled it I found http://www.jjspackage.com/partagas/details.htm which is rather expensive for me at $3000!!! If anyone's interested there's a great article about the 150 year anniversary at http://www.cigaraficionado.com/Cigar...22,678,00.html -- Wilkes McDermid Chelsea LONDON, UK Please remove the 'OFFAL' from my e-mail address to reply. I don't want to consume any 'SPAM'. =--- |
