PHUC contest - we have a winner!
Most entries went from 8 to 16, pretty high expectations, the challenge of
which I woulld normally jump to. Well, except the 16 : ) As it turned out
I paced myself and was still fairly spent by midday; I ended up smoking only
6 and seeing and hearing more about cigars than my dead briain could take
in. Very nice, a bit overwhelming for me, but I can't wait for the next
one. And thanks to all the guys (and Cigarski) who were there, very
friendly!
As Mook and Dale both guessed 6 cigars, I will list the ASC'ers I met (I had
not met any ASC'ers previous) and I believe Mookdoggie owes me his snaily!
I skipped my morning cigar in anticipation of getting on the road early.
The first part happened, the second part didn't. I sipped on a Partagas
Aristocrat on the first leg of the journey up, picked up a fellow smoker
north of town and saw more humidors than one man should legally own.
Was looking forward to seeing the Mail order store and nubbed a TASTY AF
Exquisito SG as soon as I left the Holt's M.O. shop. I swear if I had a
choice between this one and the Aristocrat I wouldn't be able to make up my
mind.
Walked into the Holt's store and couldn't see the back room through all the
smoke. When I could see through the fog I met the crowd- Craig and Jenn,
Christopher and Cigarski. Next up was the Davidoff Millenium Robusto I've
been wanting to try as we kicked out a bunch of malnourished Germans across
the street. Then I met Smoke as I lit up a gifted CAO Odyssey that was...
interesting...
I finished of the night with a SLR series A '00 I was looking forward to
trying, and when it didn't live up to my expectations I went to the AF Cuban
Belicoso SG, seeing as how we were outnumbered by the AF board members by
four-to-one.
All in all it was a great time, everybody was very friendly, I was so glad
to meet everybody, and I can't wwait to see you guys again. Thanks to
cigarski for the invite!
Mook! send snaily!
