I'm sure that my preferences in cigars will continue to evolve, but
lately I have found myself reaching for the companas (belicoso) shape
more often than not. I can't remember the last day that I didn't smoke
at least one, Cuban or NC. For a long time I have been going through a
cab (only avail. in 25) of the BBF's each month. It's probably been my
most frequently smoked cigar over the last year. A while back Alex
(TYAW) turned me on to the RyJ Belis, and I got hooked on them as
well. To make matters worse, I was sent a couple Sancho Panza Belis to
verify authenticity, and not only were they real, but I just *had* to
order a cab for myself. Today, as I site here smoking a SCdLH La
Punta, I realized that, not only is this my third different beli
today, but I've set out a BBF to take with me for after dinner/pre-
hockey game. Habanos makes only 4 belis and by face-off I will have
smoked one of each. Coincidence ? I think not What the hell....I
guess I need to smoke a Montesino SG Beli as my nightcap. I'd change
my sig.tag to "Will work for a beli", but just the thought of the "w"
thing gives me the creeps

After the second reading, I realized that I can't legally procure most
of what you're talking about. Are there (I'm guessing, here) NC equivalents?

Cabinet....an alternate form of packaging, that *some* feel lends
itself better to aging. The cigars are almost always unbanded, and not
pressed down into a box while wet, so do not take on a squared off
(box-pressed) shape....they are round. They are typically bound by a
ribbon in a "wheel".

Montesino is one of Fuentes lines of cigars.....SG means Sungrown
wrapper....in this case Ecuadorian I believe.

Yes....many equivalents, in shape.....none in flavor profile. Any of
the sizes of NC's (see above listed as Belicoso or Pyramid will be
shaped like the ones I was referring to. I personally group torpedoes
with this shape, but refuse to argue about it
