Anyone got any opinions on these? How do they stack up against some of the
other smaller Habanos (Fonseca KDT, Monte #4's etc)?

The Shorts 50 cabinet are one of the cigars I will not allow my
cooler to be without. Nice Partagas flavor in a short smoke. This is
my favorite Partagas.

The 3 are completely different, and there is no better, or worse.
Each have their own reasons for being in my rotation.

If you can still find them try the Super Partagas. Much less expensive but
still has that great Partagas nic kick and flavor. They're on the
discontinued list, but some vendors still have them. Although many photos
show them as being packed in cello, my experience has been that they are
not. One of my favorite inexpensive cuban smokes...

Agreed also. All three are regular smokes here.....not as often the
Monte 4's as they once were though. Had a couple of sub-par boxes, and
got away from them for a while. The KDT when I want a short milder
smoke....the Parti Short when I want "more".

Great little sticks. On my list of future box purchases. I wouldnt
compare them to Monte 4s as they are smaller so its kind of like apples
to oranges IMO. I can say they have a wonderful flavor and my only
complaint is that they last a little longer! :-)

You might wish to stock up! Habanos no longer lists the 50 cab, so the
dealer inventory may be all that's left.

The Shorts dress box of 25, at almost $20 less than the Monte 4 is a great
buy. Partagas are great tasting smokes.

I'd not put the KDT in the same league with the Shorts and M4s, but at
$25/box (in Cuba) they are a great bang for your buck.

Also on the endangered list is the Partagas TPC (Tres Petite Corona) which I
have been enjoying immensely. And, I have come to appreciate and prefer the
Diplomaticos #4 in lieu of the Montecristo #4. Col. Willard
