Just said goodbye to my in-laws after the traditional chistmas lunch. They
brought me 4 RyJ No. 1. How's that for in-laws ;-)

I had a siglo II and a KDT cadete after lunch, the siglo was somewhat
disrupted by clearing the table and making coffee, but the fonseca was pure
relaxation (along with a bizarre muixture of café au lait, 1999 amarone and
16-year old lagavulin - sip this, gargle that, drink that one).

Mind you, after snaps, pickled herring, red cabbage and pork roast, one
taste is almost as good as the other.

Hope you all had a stressless, funfilled, cigarsmoked christmas.

Less imposing than the 12-year old. Milder, more rounded taste, some of the
smoke had turned into a lovely background for the other whisky flavours. I
recently tasted a 25-year old Bowmore which in comparison was still very
unmatured, so it's a great value for the money, too.
