Default abbreviations (la gloria cubana cigars hoyo de monterrey)

hey, folks.

i'm a pipe smoker who has been lurking here for a few weeks hoping to
learn a little bit about cigars. i really appreciate the reviews, and
have been able to learn a good deal, but i keep coming up against the
trouble of the brand abbreviations that people use. if it's a mark i
know i can usually puzzle it out in a few seconds, but it's pretty
hopeless if it's something i don't know.

i'm thinking of thinks like
LGC=la gloria cubana
HdM=hoyo de monterrey
PAM=???
VSG=???

is there a faq somewhere with a list of these? i'd be much obliged to
anyone who might be able to point me to such a resource.

cheers.

The latest FAQ I'm aware of is at:

http://www.socalherf.com/ascfaq.shtml

I'm not sure it addresses all of your questions.... but it should help
nonetheless

That FAQ, another, and a bunch of other ASC/cigar resources are linked
from the URL in my .sig, not to mention the ASC birthday page.

Default abbreviations (Posted these as a courtesy.)

I had the same question a number of years ago and from that, compiled
a couple of lists. Feel free to check this out.

I will leave this up as long as no abuse takes place. If anyone has
any suggestions, please feel to email them to me.

Hope this helps.

Here's a few more to add to your list, Marc:
Connie -- confusing to motorcyclists. Surprised to find that it also
seems to be a cigar called Consuegra.
AFAIK = As Far As I Know
IYKWIMAITYD = If you know what I mean, and I think you do
DAMHIKIJK = Don't as me how I know, I just know.
