Oh, this is great.... the online site I use for most of my
live stream listening (www.shoutcast.com) has several "latin/salsa" selections, that put a good background/ ambient/environment on for cigar enjoyment.. with a latin america theme... the most popular is as follows http://www.shoutcast.com/sbin/shoutc...e=filename.pls that link is to a low bandwidth 24k stream (I have only a 56k dialup connection), however for you DSL/cable broadband types, there is also a 128k selection for much higher quality. shoutcast uses winamp and all the other popular livestream audio players. I just discovered they had a good "dominican/mexican/honduran/general latin american" set after doing a site search there on a whim. ....for you mood music types who also like live streaming music. heh, are you referring to liveireland.com? it's AWESOME....
there are actually several celtic stations on shoutcast that have thier own websites.... www.celtivegrove.com is one; www.liveireland.com is another... they're all good. I have always enjoyed good scottish & irish folk music. I only posted the salsa/latino music because it seemed appropriate for cigars... I remember hearing it as theme music in on the cigar dave show. My OTHER favorite shoutcast stream for listening during cigar smoking is a good blues channel, while also at the same time bar-b-queing. it's perfect ambient music. http://www.shoutcast.com/sbin/shoutc...e=filename.pls the actual website for THAT is www.absbluescast.com Anyway.... I always think the right music is very important for mood setting, no matter what you're doing. Clint -- -- If you sympathize with terrorists & middle eastern tyrants, vote for liberals... -- |

Yep it's www.liveireland.com . I'll have to check out celticgroove. I keep hearing about the Cigar Dave show - is this something online or local radio only? ror (Randall O'Reilly) |

Well, the cigardave show is kinda both.... it's a nationally
syndicated show hosted by Dave (calls himself cigar dave), once a week on saturdays.... the time of day depends on the radio station affiliate in your area's programming schedule. There is also a webcast of the show, that you can listen to anytime of the week, I believe it uses the windows media player. He also has the last several weeks of shows archived, in case you missed one. His site is dedicated to cigars and the cigar lifestyle, kinda like cigar aficianado but scaled down economically for the everyman, not just the $10,000 wristwatch types. www.cigardave.com go to his site, and on the home page at the bottom is the link "listen live". When you click on it, you'll be taken to the archive page where his shows are listed in 1 hour blocks (his show is 2 hours long, so each show will be a pair of two hour live stream hyperlinks). There are other cigar radio shows out there, but I don't like them as much because the seem less dedicated to cigars and more dedicated to being regular everyday tomfoolery type slapstick shows, with an occasional remark about a cigar thrown in. Cigar dave discusses cigars about 85% of the time, and the other 15% is dedicated to his cigar updates and news about new laws, for and against them, and so forth. If you really enjoy cigars you'll really enjoy his show. Clint |
