Today is the Nation's celebration of the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther
King, a great American. He was a man that led a movement that did so
much for so any of his fellow Americans, regardless of race, that his
memory will live on in our nation's history alongside the founding
fathers and the other great war heros.

His battles were fought with dignity and honor against brutality and
corruption. He won. They lost. America got the chance to live up to
her aspirations.

A bowl to Dr. Martin and his legacy.

I second. He was certainly a great man who strove for equality amongst
all, not like many who preach for equality simply for their own race,
culture, etc.

I was one of the original freedom-riders, civil rights workers back in
the early '60s. Went South, marched with 'em all, Martin, Rev.
Abernathy, Bobby Kennedy....etc.Was fire-hosed, dog-bit, rotten
fruit/veggie splattered.....the works. Was worth it. Thanx for posting
this, R.......obert. Of course I smoked a bowl after dinner in Dr.
King's honor.

Don't forget another "King". Rodney. Sure, a totally mean sumbitch when
drunk, but no excuse for him to get abused by the LAPD officers once he
was under control. Quote" "Why can't we ALL get along?"

Ed,

While you were riding buses, I was wearing the eagle, globe and anchor
in defense of our country. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for
doing for me what I was not in a position to do for myself. GOD bless you.

A bowl in your honor, Sir.

Best,
Frank
