Joshua, my earlier comments lamenting the type and nature of political
posts--and the negative effects they tend to have on ASP's sense of
community--is not so much aimed at Martin. He may be my philosophical opposite
when it comes to our respective ends of the political spectrum, but for the
most part Martin is harmless. Any snarling or profanity from him seems in large
part to derive from the bullying to which he has been subjected by some of my
more right-wing brethern--with whom I AM politically aligned (*sigh*)...which
is not to say that some on the left aren't equally at fault, as they may well
be.

Some just don't get it at all. It isn't about where you stand nor for that
matter does this issue revolve around the right or even the eloquence with
which one expresses views. It DOES, however, concern the respectful--or, as the
case may be, "disrespectful"-- manner in which we are able to engage and debate
with one another.

Oh well (curmudgeon trudging back to his cave). Andy S.
