Default Ardor - a Heavenly smoker...

I received an Ardor Poker in a pipe trade the other day. It's an 1/8 bent
rusticated, umber color - with an art amber saddle stem and silver band.
This pipe is light as a feather and smokes like a dream. If your a fan of
the Italian made pipe - I'd recommend trying this brand.

John

Ardor makes a very nice pipe, John. A friend of mine recently graduated from
college at a point in midlife where he felt like celebrating his
accomplishment. He splurged and bought an extremely nice Ardor high-grade and
walks around with a perpetually smug look on his face ever since he lit up the
first bowlful.

The importer, Steve Monjure of Monjure International, is one of the truly good
guys in the pipe business. Anyone attending a pipe show should always make a
point of looking him up, if for no better reasons than to learn something new
about pipes and because Steve is a pleasure to talk with.

I agree.
Both about the pipes and the importer.
I've bought several Ardors from Steve and every transaction was a delightful
time ending with my getting a great smoker at a great price.

Hi John,
I've heard nothing but good things about Ardor. They seem to be
somewhat flashy in design and, executed with fine briar stock. One of
the best of the contemporary Italians. You need to work up a trade
with those guys. Ask Tony Soderman who to talk to, I bet he knows who
represents them in the US.
Regards,
Ed

Yup. Fantastic pipes, usually very light for their size, very reasonably
priced, and (best of all) great smokers. Plus, Steve Monjure is one of the
best in the business. The only time I ever had a problem with one of his
pipes (not, BTW, an Ardor!) he promtly relpaced it with a slightly better
model. (sigh) If only he ran Dunhill...

I don't own one yet, but they are very high on my "to get" list.
Everytime I see their add in Pipes and Tobacco Mag, those blue stems
just jump out at me. Unfortunatly, for me anyway, there never seems to
be many Ardors availible on ebay.
