Ever tried Quest nicotine free? I've just found out about them and wondered
what they would be like. It would be interesting to be able to determine the
effect of nicotine in smoking for me personally. I like all kinds of blends
and some that are notorious kickers but don't seem to get that affect on me.

The stage 1+2 lowered nicotine ones are tolerable. The nicotine-free ones
are disgusting.

The usual Lites type have holes in the filter which prevent a lot of smoke
from coming into the mouth. Do these ones use the same technique? How are
the nic free ones disgusting? I probably need to try one myself to find out
but I don't think they are available here.

I used to smoke cigs, it was more of a social thing, sometimes for the image
and I liekd having somethign to do when I was doing nothing. I was given
some coupons to get some quests for under a dollar a pack (this is when they
first came out). So I got a few packs to try, I mean I didnt smoke for the
nicotine I just liked to smoke.

The taste was off for me. It had a different taste than that of most
cigarettes. I wouldnt say it was bad, just different. However they gave me a
dry mouth when smoking them which I disliked. They were just different and
were a nice break from normal cigarettes. I would smoke those and camel
lights before I started rolling my own. Nowdays I've given up smoking
cigarettes I'm quite pleased with my pipe.

Best wishes,

Zaxil

Yes, they do have holes in the filter like most others. The nicotine-free
cigs are disgusting in a way that is hard to describe. They do not taste
like tobacco in any form past the first puff or two. They have a very
chemical taste; after 1/3 of the smoke, they taste like you're smoking a
sort of warm, harsh chemical-laden sort of air. I smoked one and tossed the
pack.

Never tried the 3's, but if I remember right it was a 3 that I ripped the
filter apart on because it felt funny to find that it was charcoal filtered.
They actully have little pieces of charcoal loose in there.

Think I'll avoid them then.

You have chosen wisely.

I only smoke cigs now and then anymore for old times sake. But generally,
I've found that if you're going to smoe cigarrettes, you may as well smoke
the real ones.
