My wife and I were looking for a countertop to put in our new house. One of
the things we came across was a hardness rating for wood called the Janka
scale. Apparently its a measurment of the amount of force needed to drive a
..444" steel ball half an inch into the wood. There were some exotic woods
that ran up into the 3000 rating. I was wondering if anyone knew the Janka
measurment for Briar. I googled the question for a bit, and didn't find
anything.
