Just wondering if you all have seen any really interesting tampers.
In the olden days I could buy them made out of briar for $5-$10, after a quick google search I can't seem to find that many...at least on the net. Also, I can't afford the $1,500 type...gee some paydays I can't afford the $1.50 type. Any suggestions are appreciated! Ron dblclx(at)gmail.com http://smoke.thedoyle.net |

I like Ming-Kahuna tampers. http://www.ming-kahuna.com You probably
won't find anything at $1.50, but you will find some truly amazing stuff. -- Jeff Folloder Jeff's Ashtray- http://www.folloder.com/jeffsashtray/ Non-Sequitur Blog- http://blog.folloder.com |

Ron:
I have a nice Bjarne wood pipe tamper/tool that might match what you say you are looking for. And it won't break the bank at Monte Carlo either. See it at: http://www.pipetobacco.com/page/pipe...bjt/woodtamper Of course, I'm still mourning the loss of an ivory tamper I bought many years ago. As far as I can tell, in today's world it is pretty much irreplaceable. Regards, Jim Even Cowboys Need Mozart |

Hi Ron,
I'd like to sell a tamper made of borosilicate glass that a friend and I made. Pictures are available at http://home.cinci.rr.com/brosenfield/tamper.html, and I'm flexible on price. You can e-mail me at mr_longstem AT hotmail DOT com. - Ben |

He might do it for the same reason I do. It's a quick reference to remind me
of what was sold and for how much. Once the buyer gets the stuff and is happy with it I then take the sold stuff off (if I can get myself offa' my lazy ass which sometimes takes a week or so.) so maybe it's the same with Martin. -- Frenchy http://www.frenchyspipes.com/ |
