Default no more Dunhill 965?

Hi,

i m from HK SAR, i have been a pipe smoker for a few years, Dunhill965
and The Early Morning Pipe are my favorite, however, recently my
supplier told me that Dunhill has closed his production line of 965 and
The Early Morning Pipe, so no more 965 and EMP now, he recommend
another English blend to instead of 965, is it ture? or my supplier is
lying? Pls tell me, thanks.

Greetings, Jimmy,

The story I've heard on ASP chat is that Murray's, who makes the pipe
blends, will discontinue their production. I don't know if Dunhill will
select another blender.

I also heard that Murray's had been sold and will no longer be packaging any
of the Dunhill tobaccos. I don't know if Dunhill has as yet selected a new
supplier but I can't imagine them allowing a money making line like tinned
tobacco to disappear.
As a substitute I buy from Jose, at Dunhill, NY , Personal Mixture A-1101.
It cost $22.50 for a half pound tin and is quite similar.
Smokers Haven blends are also done by Murrays. I don't know what there plans
are, but I am stocking up, on the three I smoke,, Krumble Kake, 20th
Anniversary and In-B-Tween Mixture. Great tasting tobaccos at a very fair
price of $25 per 8 oz. thin.

I don't know, but sure there're changes in dunhill blends. Last week,
in Seville I was told by a tobacconist that Royal Yacht was no longer
available in Spain. Yes, I know the opinions on RY, but I like an
occasional bowl.

Just when I was hoping they would send it all to Spain.

According to Lane Limited, the Dunhill tobacco importer, none of the Dunhill
blends are discontinued. We have everything in stock, with the exception of
Nightcap tins, which someone franticly ordered 100 tins and wiped us out,
even though it is still available. Lane says I have more coming next week.
I'm not sure where all the mis-information is coming from, but I hope this
clears things up.

I know Dave Windsor is canning his fanny off with Dunhill - folks are
stockpiling. On the other hand, JR's seems to have no problems keeping
Dunhill in stock. Dunno...

The most impact the loss of Dunhill would have on me is Royal Yacht and
Three Year Matured. I can find surrogates of their other blends.

If Murray's is sold, that means Escudo could go out too.
