For me, Laphroaig is best neat -- no water, no ice -- in a snifter.

I usually add three drops of water. I learned that a tasting event. I
don't know if it does anything, but it does add to my ritual.

For the OB stuff, I agree. For the IB stuff (at cask strength), I still
like it neat, but with a little splash of water to open it up.

They actually have an OB at cask strength, which is incredible not
just in terms of taste but also texture. I drink it neat too.

I'm still waiting for the OB cask strength to show up in the Houston area...

Laphroaig! With just a chip of ice. Or, Clinelish. Talisker will do.

To my knowledge it hasn't arrived anywhere in the US. I had to get it
on eBay at a fairly reasonable price. Email me and I'll dig out the
seller's info --if she's not selling any right now that is.

Same for me.

If someone finds the 10yrs a bit too rude, the 15 yrs is smoother and
equally marvelous.

But Ardbeg beats both in peat flavor!
