Shipping matrials tip
With so many of us here shipping pipes, tobacco and other items I'd like to
offer a tip as to where free bubble wrap can be obtained. I go through one hell
of a lot of bubble wrap and the stuff can get expensive. I also hate overhead,
so I'm always looking to scrimp here and there.
For the first couple of years of Ming I purchased quite a bit of bubble wrap,
and as most people find out it never goes as far as you'd like. But, if you
are fortunate enough to have a pharmacist in the family, or as a friend, you
are in luck. Shipments of medicine to drug stores involve a lot of bottles, and
for shipping purposes they are wrapped in bubble wrap bags/sleeves. One day
when my stepfather-in-law was over at my house he saw me wrapping a tamp in
bubble wrap and told me that I should have all of the wrap that he throws away.
So, since then he saves the wrap for me and whenever he comes over he usually
brings two or three shopping bags chocked full of these wonderful bubble wrap
bags in varying sizes. Anyone who has received a Ming knows how they are
packed. I never scrimp on packing material and never pay a penny. And, using
USPS Priority Mail the boxes, labels and tape are provided by the post office,
so my only expense is the postage and the ink from my pen.
So, if you have a friend or family member that is a pharmacist, or works at a
drug store, see if you can hook into this unlimited supply of bubble wrap.
