Default Smokin' on a Thursday

There is a chill in the air so I broke open a jar of 965 that I put up last
winter for my first cool weather smoke. Good stuff. It seems to have aged
quite well over the summer.
I got a nice pipe from ebay that arrived today. It is a Spitfire by
Lorenzo. It has a nice short stem and a very tall bowl. It almost looks
deformed but feels good in the mouth and smokes very well.

Anyway, what are you burning in your bowls this fine fall evening?

965 sounds like a good choice Steve. Right now I'm smokin' BN in a Grabow
but later on I'm definitely goin' with 965 in a Sav.

There's a chill here as well, I have the A/C cranked up ;-)
Gonna go downstairs and load up the Tinsky ASP Canadian with Escudo and
grind my teeth for a few hours with the Series.

GLP Stratford in a Design Berlin Mayflower brandy glass shaped pipe. This may
be my favorite of all of Greg's tobaccos. While I find all his tobaccos tasty,
a lot of his tobaccos seem a bit "thin" to me. However, I popped a tin of some
2 year old Haddo's a couple weeks back. The taste and aroma were still there
but the tobacco seemed a LOT fuller. If Stratford ages as well as Haddo's,
this will be an incredible smoke in a few years.

The pipe is a really good smoker. Very nice grain but a few fills take away
from the pipe's aesthetics. Overall, a very nice combination for this evening.

Evening Stephen and ASP,

No chill in the air out here in Hot Vegas so it's Amphora Red in the Nording
925 on the back porch.
The trees aren't even turning color, everything's just withering and dying
from exhaustion.

Holding out for Xmas to dip into the 965,

It is good to have some cool weather back, isn't it? I had a big
bowl (two hours' worth) of Caravan in a Gyert bent that I got nine
months ago as a PIF present at the beginning of my pipe career. Somehow
it got devoted to Caravan very early, and it's never escaped ...

More than a chill here, it's cold. If it was cloudy, I would be expecting
snow. Just got home from taking the parents out for dinner. A bowl of
Thunder Road in a Stanwell Zabrano. It's a real nice combination.

Hi Steve, I`m Smoking Mac Baren`s Scottish Mixture in a Stanwell buffalo
#62 while watching the Yanks get their butts kicked. It`s cold in N.Y.
state tonight, and there`s a dusting of snow on the ground. Cheers,
Charles

Let's see - I had a bowl of McClelland Mixture #12 (full English) in
an old Dunhill bulldog earlier. A few minutes ago, I took the last
puff of some Reiner Long Golden Flake in a smooth Tsuge Tokyo.

Steve,

I enjoyed four, no five tobaccos today. Two came from you.

Bob's Chocolate Flake in Frenchy's Sav Upstack
C&D Black and Tan in a Sav
Four Seasons in a Gepetto, both from Bear
Steve's Cajun Blend in my first pipe, a GDB
Blue Note in Frenchy's Fathers Day Freehand Grabow
