Default Kilimanjaro (cigars humidor)

Hi there!
Reading some of the past posts, I guess I never introduced myself
either. I've just kind of been lurking for a while and posting
questions here and there..

My name is Mike and I live in Montreal, Quebec. Recently got into
cigars after a trip to Cuba (familiar story?) and have been enjoying
them immensely. I also enjoy smoking shisha, (egyptian waterpipe), but
thats an entirely different experience!

Anyway, my question is regarding the Montecristo Kilimanjaro. I
recently posted question regarding Uhuru and received some positive
feedback. I went ahead and tried the kilimanjaro. The draw was very
nice, especially for this biggie. Wrapper was nice cameroon leaf, and
it was wrapped in cedar (prelit draw really tasted like the cedar).

After lighting however, I was very surprised. I found the whole cigar
very much bland. Smoke was not rich and it really had no detectable
taste. It was pretty unidimensional the whole way through, no
variations that I could tell..

So I was wondering if anyone else had similar / different experience?
Did I just get a bad cigar? I bought this on a weekend trip to Lake
Placid, the store's humidor didn't seem the best kept. It still ran me
$14 for the cigar.

Look forward to your opinions!
Cheers

<snip>

Hey there... I bought a box of 10 of these a few months ago because
JRs was offering a cool elephant humidor (now in my office) for $49
with a box purchase.

They're just sitting in my igloodor at home, but I'll have to yank one
out and give it a burn for you to let you know.

Thanks for reminding me... probably time to try one.

I felt exactly the same way, it looked so good, smelled nice, nice burn
etc, but after a few puffs it just became alot of tasteless smoke, no
finish, nothing. I was going to buy a box, but after trying a single,
no way. It also had a profile I don't see getting any better with age.

Try the Machame - it's an awesome cigar. It seems to me that the smaller the
Afrique size, the better I like it. In fact, we'll have a 4 x 44 out sometime
this summer which I have been smoking non-stop in the office for months.
