i recently started to smoke a waterpipe with fruit tobacco, which i enjoy
but what i am worried about is the charcoal and the effects of the charcoal
on my health.
can anyone enlighten me about charcoals, waterpipes and health? (excuses for
my bad english)

the charcoal has little to no bearing on your health. I use tin foil to
cover the bowl filled with tobacco. I poke holes in the tin foil and place
the charcoal on top. This allows the tobacco to burn ehile keeping the
charcoal from touching the tobacco. This should solve any health worries

As far as health issues related to the Hookah… there have not been
sufficient studies on the hookah and shisha itself. All I know is supposedly
there is about 0.05% nicotine and 0.00% tar in shisha tobacs. The concern
for the coals is legitimate due to the carbon monoxide (CO) some can put
off. While the self lighting charcoal disks are handy, I prefer the
Jordanian charcoal “fingers” and second favorite are the lump charcoals from
the Middle East.
