Hello: I have a 30 second presentation built in 1280×720 mode. On the screen are type elements created in basic type. About 3 seconds into the presentation, the text animates (scale and position) along with a photo scaling down. When I preview everything in AE it is great, But after rendering the text – when animating, it is blurry and when I slow it down to analyze it, ther text appear twice, double as it animates.
I used the Quicktime setting and codec animation. How can I fix this problem? Is it a codec problem. I tried Animation and DV NTSC and both are bad.

Maybe you are field rendering the footage?
I’m not sure why you are using 1280×720 resolution. DV is 720×480 always.

I am using the preset HDTV 1280×720 because my presentation is to be only shown on a 16:9 monitor widescreen. How do I chck if I am field rendering the footage?

The 30 second clip will be authored onto a DVD and play from the DVD directly onto a widescreen TV.

So you will be playing this directly off your computer to an HDTV monitor? Or you are laying this off to HD tape?
Check your ‘render setup’, there’s a field render pop-up menu.

however, you can still render to DVwidescreen specs, and your authoring software can be instructed to tag the file as widescreen, so it will play widescreen on a widescreen.
(i can’t stop myself)

DVD doesnt support HD as long as I know
Navarro_parker 2012-04-19 21:58:23
Yes, but DVD ONLY outputs 720×480 video.

as navarro said,
DVD only outputs 720×480 video,
DV widescreen is 720×480, just different PAR (1.2).
unless i’m mistakametized…

I just did a widescreen DVD project.
Use the “NTSC DV Widescreen” preset, which is 720 x 480 1.2, as stated already. Works like a champ. I used DVDSP to author the DVD, which allows you to have your video just play with no menu after the DVD is inserted, then have it loop back to the beginning at the end.
